A design lighting idea for my kitchen, comprising 120 blue SMD LEDs & running from 48V DC. Plus a control system for two sets of Halogen lights and some architectural lights.

Dimmer control of 48 separate lights from one RS232 input.

LED wall of several thousand LEDs that dim in patterns, then change when a person walks passed, using passive infra red sensors. Unfortunately this never got beyond a demo prototype.

Guinness exhibition in Ireland wanted a static LED display of some 48 red & amber units in a designer light fitting.

British Heart Foundation wanted a dramatic display for a ‘clothes show’ charity game. Involving a ‘star’ display of white & blue dimming LEDs depicting a heart beat and some relay contacts for switching Halogen down lights.

The Millennium Dome, some 20 LED displays of 16 lights each, displaying a random collection of patterns, battery powered, flying around in an installation of transparent air tubes for contract company, Imagination, for British Telecom.

Ledlift26, fifteen ‘Lumileds’ displaying a lift car position for a major architectural project in Lime Street, London involving twenty four such displays, done for A.C. Lighting
