First the good news:

Lime Street lift job is at last complete, apart from some Otis signals that were not as promised.
Chicken shed alarm ChickCheck is looking good.
Another job I haven’t mentioned before, Xkeys - an AV control system is coming together, pictures soon. Xkeys.

The Music room and Hi Fi getting closer to nirvana than I ever expected, still with ‘bog standard’ cabling. Up sampling DVD player into 46in screen, a cinematographic pleasure.

Magnat ‘Vintage 650’ speakers purchased over the net, never seen, never heard, but ex display at £540 could I go wrong, no I’ve rarely head anything as good, driven by Tripath 100WPC amp and Marantz DVD/CD player.

Then the bad news:

All work done with the ‘rope light’ and DMX control, so far has come to nothing, and has cost allot of time.

The flat here is more like a ‘building site’ than it has been for years !

Skyline sound dispersion panels on back wall

Note the ‘home made’ furniture, this was CNC milled from 25mm MDF and veneered in Maple, the legs being 90mm architectural aluminium tubes, polished and lacquered.
Also a main table, two side tables and shelves of the same style. Cost all in < £200 + loads of work particularly getting the veneer right and finishing with yacht varnish and brushing wax. Now four coasters to match, silver edging and felt backed.

But we got there in the end.
